Literature Survey - Final

چکیده
Space-time coding is a powerful way to leverage spatial diversity gain and improve reliability in multiple input multiple output (MIMO) communication systems. In this paper, we examine a semi-blind adaptive time-domain equalization (TEQ) strategy in conjunction with Alamouti space-time coding to achieve channel shortening. Channel shortening is necessary when the channel response is longer than the cyclic prefix (CP) in a multi-carrier modulation scheme, which precludes low complexity equalization in the frequency domain. Although several TEQ schemes for MIMO systems exist, there has been limited research in leveraging Alamouti spacetime coding to enhance channel shortening capabilities. We propose a cascaded receiver design, which first performs channel shortening with a blind algorithm developed by Martin et al. in [1]. The receiver then decodes the Alamouti code using a semi-blind channel estimation technique [2], and uses the resulting channel estimate to perform frequency domain equalization.

An Instrument Development: Interactivity Survey (IS)
Although there is no agreement as to what instructional interactivity and interaction mean in educational literature, researchers agree that both terms are vital for teaching and learning one way or another. This paper presents the item-development stages and validity and reliability analyses of the Interactivity Survey (IS), which attempts to uncover the perceptions of professors working at de...
متن کاملA General Model of the Survey Interaction Process
In this paper, we propose a general model of the survey interaction process. Our framework consists of three components: the survey context, the survey participants, and a descriptive model of the interviewer-respondent interaction process. Because subjective perceptions of the survey context influence the way individuals interpret, ask, and respond to survey questions, we first present a taxon...
متن کاملA Little Survey of Induction
My purpose in this chapter is to survey some of the principal approaches to inductive inference in the philosophy of science literature. My first concern will be the general principles that underlie the many accounts of induction in this literature. When these accounts are considered in isolation, as is more commonly the case, it is easy to overlook that virtually all accounts depend on one of ...
متن کاملMeatoplasty in Canal wall down Surgery: Our Experience and Literature Review
Introduction: Meatoplasty is the final and essential step in performing effective canal wall down surgery for chronic otitis media. In this article we review some previous techniques and discuss our preferred method. Materials and Methods: In this observational case series study, we used this technique in 53 patients (28 male and 25 female) between January 2005 and January 2008. Our survey was ...
متن کاملLiterature Survey on Allocation of Virtual Radio Resources in Cellular Networks
A literature survey is conducted to evaluate proposed methodologies for virtual radio resource block allocation in cellular networks. Three techniques are examined. One approach aims to maximize aggregate Mobile Network Operator (MNO) satisfaction by framing the problem as a Binary Integer Programming (BIP) problem and using both standard and iterative approaches perform the optimization. Anoth...
